Book Design and Illustrations
A collaboration with gravitational wave researcher and LIGO collaborator Dr Mariela Masso Reid, children's literature lecturer, Dr Dimitra Fimi and gravitational wave researchers at The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, India.
This unique children's pop up book “Listen to the Universe" was distributed free to the children of Hingoli district, India ahead of the development of a new gravitational wave observatory as part of LIGO and LIGO INDIA's public engagement efforts.
The original version is in Marathi, the local language to the district and state of Maharashtra. An English translation is currently in development for broader deployment.
A joint project between the University of Glasgow, IUCAA, LIGO and LIGO INDIA. Funded by the Science Technology Facilities Council and the Global Challenges Research Fund.
